I have been with this practice all my life. I have considered moving my GP due to issues getting appointments but even worse by rude, abrupt often cheeky reception staff. Some answer the phone in a hurried ,manner, don't listen and make you feel you are a nuisance. Is their job not to deal with Patients ??? It is time the Doctors sorted out the receptionists and time the practice sorted themselves out. I DREAD having to phone or try to get an appointment.

I have been a patient at the Murray surgery for nearly 50 years and until recently I alway believed it was the best surgery in East Kilbride. However, recently my opinion has totally changed. I had the misfortune of being very ill recently and when I contacted surgery was told no doctor was on call (at around 4pm on a Friday afternoon )just dial 999 by a receptionist I was advised to report this incident by a medic involved in my care. I do not waste doctors time with trivial things but I feel so let down. I think someone, somewhere has to take a serious look into the running of the surgery. It does not make me feel good writing this review.

Been with the practice for seven years. In the last two years the practice has gone steadily down hill. Difficult to get appointments and when you do you invariably have to suffer long waiting times. Seems to be staffed mostly by locums. Needs drastic improvement.

Used the telephone line for repeat prescriptions. Arrived at the surgery to collect the prescription only to be told it had been declined because it was too early, it was approximately two weeks early due to going on holiday. They could not get a prescription signed and said they would ' try for the next day'. This is not acceptable as I, as I'm sure many others do work and find it very difficult to collect prescriptions during normal surgery hours. The receptionist was surprised that someone would be on holiday and need a prescription a few weeks early.

I have been with the Murray surgery for many years. But recently on several occasions I have found the reception staff rude, discussing issues in view of others of a delicate nature..brushing you off regardless of how busy or not busy the surgery is. Extremely dismissive over the phone. Losing prescription handed in at appropriate times and instead of helping while you are there making you return a day later. Making patients feel extreme low. I have been both on the receiving end of this and witness to this on multiple occasions. The surgery has a bad name all round now and is rarely discussed in good terms anymore.
